The Early Christian Writings
I'm a big fan and student of church history and especially the writings of the 2nd century church. I believe that these earliest writings of the church, many of them by people who knew the apostles and all of them by people who were in churches started by apostles, are an excellent witness to apostolic teaching. Their testimony makes it clear that they were enjoying the power and holiness that our Lord promised to his disciples.
